Joel Dehlin is the Chief Technology Officer for iQor, a business process outsourcing (BPO) company. Formerly, he was the Chief Information Officer for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Joel left this position effective August 1st, 2011. Prior to working for the LDS Church, he worked at Microsoft for 10 years in various roles, at Arthur Andersen, and at Novell. While at Microsoft, Joel worked on the original microsoft.com product, in the mobile devices division, and as the executive producer and co-designer of Microsoft Allegiance.[1] He was also one of the co-creators of Microsoft Surface. He has 15 patents.[2]
He has co-authored the book Object Programming with Visual Basic 4 and Microsoft Office for Windows 95[3] and currently serves as a member of the Gartner CIO Research Board and the KPCG CIO Stratgey Exchange.
He is Chairman of the Board for Rhomobile,[4] a cross-platform mobile development tools company.
Joel lives in Utah with his wife Lani and their seven children.
